Lynx In the Sunshine

The lawn was white with frost this morning, but the day that followed was beautiful- warm sunshine and no wind. I found this baby lynx spider sitting on the stonecrop soaking up the sun.

I lit the fire for the first time this year. Nights are getting cold.

Covid-19 Level 2   The lovely day combined with the relaxed rules about travel meant thousands of people took to the highway through the mountains between Christchurch and the West Coast. There seemed to be a continuous flow of vehicles from early morning until evening, with a break about the middle of the day.
I was sitting outside enjoying the sun and the noise was loud and incessant. Was it really this bad before the lockdown?
