Out on the tandem!

We seem to be in rather a gloomy spell weather wise at present - warm temperatures, but persistent grey skies and on and off showers. Roger and I got off for a bike ride around lunchtime, and decided to give the tandem an airing for a change. We started at South Lebanon, and headed north for a return total of almost 25 miles. We had a couple of very light sprinkles, but then on the way back it developed into more than a light sprinkle, and we got rather wet! We sheltered for a while in a picnic shelter in Morrow, then set off again when it seemed to be easing off a bit. When we got back home, it was time for another hot shower, clean dry clothes and a hot cup of tea! I fixed us an apple crumble for dessert this evening - one of Philip’s favourites!
