Action Winnie

Oooft, was queuing for Aldi by 0945 this morning to beat the queue build up.
Back home to make some soup for Auntiw Moira then inspired by a free tin of condensed milk I dug out my Auntie Helen’s candy bars recipe. No idea why she called them candy bars as everyone else would call it millionaire shortbread. I had a wee tear in my eye seeing her writing. Betty helped to make them.
After lunch we had a family dog walk. I decided to trim around Winnies eyes when we got home and she was so good I went for it with the dog clippers. It was quite stressful for her but she managed and hopefully she’ll be a bit cooler. She does have an impressive bald patch above her left eye!
Made some cards with Nelly after tea- they’re ace! And after the girls had vacated the downstairs me and Floss watched What We Did on Holiday. Really enjoyed it and recognised the beaches from our west coast jaunts.
