Out of the nest, out of my roof space and cooling off in a dish of water. 

My little Panasonic Lumix camera has stopped throwing up system errors,  and after the recent rather large Windows and Adobe updates the laptop now seems to be running smoothly enough. What a pity that the heat link for my Nest thermostat ( home / house central heating)  has given up the ghost! Sigh. The suggestion is that I restart it. I can't - there are no blue, yellow or green lights to be seen. It's dead, stone dead! As it is still under guarantee, I've  sent an email to customer support, but forgot to state that there is an electric supply with no blown fuses. I'm certain they are going to ask me if it is switched on and plugged in - well you would wouldn't you?
