Emerged

I've been watching a pupa attached to our greenhouse for about two weeks now. It was Mel that spotted it originally, and I've never seen one here before, so I was keen to be able to see whatever was inside emerge (and had plans for a time lapse video of the event).

As it was I was inside on a work conference call that was running over, and missed it... This little chap was sitting on the edge of the greenhouse just below. 'Only' a Cabbage White butterfly, but beautiful up close, and as he was sitting warming up / drying off, for once a butterfly not in a rush to move....
