new home

Our eldest Nick and Liz got the keys to their first house together yesterday. The offer had gone in before the lockdown and the sale of Nick's house was completed a few weeks ago. The previous owners moved out over a week ago and as the lawyers were happy to complete they went ahead. They will clean and decorate over the next couple of weeks before moving in from Liz's, happy days.  They are only 30 minutes away from us in a lovely leafy area of Nottingham and we had a quick look around today all keeping well apart, its such a shame we can't celebrate their happiness in a better way. It's a nice big extended detached house with a beautiful garden. They are going to be very happy together there. On the way home we called into nearby Wollaton Hall and Park where there was a demonstration going on against lockdown. Not a very big turn out as you can see in extra but they did provide a bit of amusement for the walkers and families who were happily socially distancing and thankful for the measures that are keeping us all safe. I trust the usual looking culprits in the demo will not require the support from the NHS if they catch the virus.

At home the starling bought her little fledgling into the garden for a feed, also in extra.
