27 Year old to Knackers Yard

I saw a sad task last night!
Just after midnight, this Carmichael Fire Tender belonging to Guernsey Airport Fire Service was delivered to Guernsey Recycling for transformation into razor blades etc.
A very sad return for 27 years of sterling service to the Island I guess but sadly, she was uneconomic to maintain.
Apparently the computer system which makes her function is irrepairable and no longer available!
Oh well I suppose that is progress, sort of, and she has probably been usurped by younger, trendier models!
