What a great surprise!

One of my all time favourite films, musicals at least, is South Pacific. Always makes me so emotional that I shed a few tears, especially at the end but pretty much all the way through, as well as a few laughs, I'm not one who is afraid to show my emotions. Luckily it was BBC2 so no advertisements to spoil it.
Last time I saw it was in Maidenhead when the Maidenhead Musical Comedy Society ran it for a week, they are a brilliant band of performers, producers and directors. Must have been 20 years ago at least. I worked from home for over 9 years and I've been retired for 11.
We were watching a programme about musicals on the TV in the kitchen and when it finished the South Pacific overture started. I thought it was part of the programme at first and then realised the titles were rolling. Ran into the sitting room to watch it on the bigger TV.

Earlier I'd gone down to the cemetery to water the wilting geraniums I'd put in a week ago. I totally forgot to water them after the initial planting and went yesterday to find them dying. They looked a little better this morning thank goodness. F.M.i.L. accompanied me, she likes to have a little prayer over them both while I'm filling up the watering cans. See Extra.
