Life from city to village

Lockdown

Today I was able to collect my son from his flat at University. That means I now have all 3 home. My eldest was stuck after he was symptomatic as the lockdown was starting. He has now recovered but I'd put money on him having had coronavirus. He was very ill for a week, and then was coughing for ages afterwards.

This is the view from a layby on the way, but it made me think about the lockdown. People are largely stuck in their homes and gardens, glimpsing the world beyond as if it is a hazy memory. Except it is being freed up a bit. The extra is the view from my son's flat. All he has to do now is go back to hand in his final piece of work in August. I can't believe he has almost finished university.

Made banana loaf when I got home. We had a delivery of fresh fruit and vegetables, which is wonderful. I'm using a delivery service from our local outdoor market - and the quality is fantastic. I really prefer fruit and veg from a dedicated greengrocer such as the market.
