South Beach

We are home again :) I rather like home :)

Spent some time at the hairdressers this morning, hairdoo and tootsies.....a great way to while away a couple of hours. Doug struggles to see the need and the time it takes. Misguided man!!!

Awfully hot again, melting. We waited to late afternoon to go for a walk, decided on the Wetlands and South Beach thinking there may be a cooling sea breeze....NOT SO!!

Saltwater Creek that drains into the Wetlands and out to South Beach is not running. The birds at the adjoining wetlands are struggling with the amount of water available. I can see a mass exodus of birds in coming days if this weather continues.

The high school girls were practising their rowing and were getting bogged and left high and dry. Comical to watch, but not for them having to get out of the skifs and into the mud to push themselves into deeper water.
