The One Petal

After selecting this photo of the one flower in the surrounding green ferns I started to wonder, where did the one petal laying below come from? Does this flower have five or six petals normally? After some time contemplating this I had to go back into other photos to see that this flower only has five petals. Should be able to sleep now...
