Work continuing

We have managed for the last six weeks to stay in the local area and only used the car for shopping trips. It would seem now that driving to places to walk is okay. I think it is still too early to be feeling that we can get back to normal and that is the problem when some measures are lifted.

However, we decided that a trip to Pooley Bridge to see how the new bridge is coming along would be okay. We were well away from the workmen and we saw very few people. It was interesting to see how far they have got, despite having had to break the work through the lockdown. The steel bridge is in place and it is looking good. A long way to go yet, but it is getting there. 

It was sad to see the pubs and cafes all closed up. I wonder when they will be able to open again. I think it's going to be a while. 

It's funny - I like using the location map, but this is the first time I have used it for a long time.
