Secondary Colours
Art class by zoom with my grand daughter and her 2 pals.
I set them a project last Sunday to encourage them to look at the secondary colours. We did the Primary Colours on 8th May (see my blip of that day if you are interested in art)
Secondary colours are made up of 2 primary colours
Orange from a mix of red and yellow
Purple from a mix of red and blue
Green from a mix of blue and yellow
They had to paint or photograph an example of the secondary colours but with an added challenge. I specified that they had to find an item of clothing, something that they used in their hobby and an art masterpiece that was predominantly showing that colour and at least 2 of the primary colours.
Have you lost me blippers?
Well pay attention to my blip and all will be explained ....Item of clothing is my purple silk blouse (check out those fab sleeves); hobby item is my yum underwater orange camera and my art illustration is Picasso’s Girl with a Boat (1938) which, if I say so myself, is a stroke of genius. It’s mostly green but if you look closely you will see the 3 primary colours in her face (red, yellow and blue) and the boat is painted in the 3 secondary colours (green, purple and orange).
I have had so much fun getting this together. My gd and her 2 pals produced such wonderful illustrations full of fun and colour and they all scored 10 outa 10. There was an abundance of football jerseys, swimsuits, paints (clever) in their pictures and an interesting variety of art masterpieces
I think they had almost as much craic as I did
