Jigsaw madness

Today we finally finished the hideous 1000 piece mosaic jigsaw of a lion made up of pictures of lots of big cats. It took a conserted effort on both our parts. No pattern to follow, just scanning the picture on the box for the piece you want to place or using two pieces to find the bit that goes between.

My memory was failing, I'd find a piece and then not remember where it went. G came up with a sensible idea of using something as a place holder. My little needle minder was the perfect tool for the job!
