Lockdown Hat #5

No I didn’t have an accident with the scissors last night! My hair is still there under the hat...

This is the one I wore on the windiest days of the 2018/19 winter when I had a daily swim in the outdoor ladies bathing pool. The swim (or sometimes just a quick dip or teabag) was fine but the walk from home and back was bitter on windy days.
So a cosy hat, a Guernsey and of course a warm coat were the order of the day.

The earrings are fake leather that I bought in Shrewsbury for about a fiver but I loved them. They used to be dark but a daily dip in sea water faded them. People often said I was the only person swimming in winter with eye liner and earrings. Well you’ve got to maintain standards.
