Northern

Every so often I meet my mate Andy in a ‘Northern Town’ and we explore the pubs. Usually we focus on the heritage pubs - the Victorian, the strange, the interesting. Inevitably we accidentally stumble across a local ‘character’. Occasionally we take this overseas but usually it’s referred to as ‘Beer in a Northern Town’. Durham, Newcastle, Liverpool, Preston, Lancaster, Wigan, York... it’s been an extensive list.
Tomorrow we were supposed to be meeting in Darlington. Of course that’s cancelled due to lockdown so instead we spent a couple of hours tonight on FaceTime, talking crap and drinking beer.
