Electric Shepherd

We did a more ambitious walk today (for us anyway) over to Hampnett and back. We avoid any walks with stiles nowadays, but didn't legislate for an electric fence. Mrsfb had great difficulty climbing over it, narrowly missing electrocuting us both by touching the live wires with her metal stick.

You can just make out the church in the distance over the kissing gate. Last time we were there we met some walkers who asked us if there was a toilet they could use inside. And then we watched a number of cars pull up at the house opposite, obviously arriving for a party. Those were the days. We did think today that the local traffic had increased dramatically. We had to use the pedestrian crossing at the traffic lights to get across safely.
