Shoelace

OK...this didn't quite work out as I'd hoped but I've left it too late to shoot an alternative. I was trying to achieve two things in this image - first, a celebration of getting to wear shoes rather than boots now that the snow has melted and second trying to get a photo of something woven. Why woven? Well, the new iteration of the K5 has no low-pass filter (like an APS version of Nikon's D800E) and I wanted something with a degree of regularity to see how much of a problem Moire patterns were. I'm glad to say I can't see any, so the second aim worked. Sadly, it's not an attractive image and not obviously a shoe so I think I failed on the first.
