I started the day with my morning run of 7.5 miles. It is the last of 6 consecutive days before a day off tomorrow, ready for my long run on Saturday. It was chilly but bright and sunny and is always my favourite way to start the day.
We had a normal ‘school day’ at home which was fine and at lunch time my son and I rustled up some biscuits. We are quite low on food today as I will go shopping tomorrow, so they will tide them over until I do.
I joined in a live meditation session last night, run by the Oxford Mindfulness Centre, hosted by Mark Williams himself. Mark Williams founded the Centre in the 1980s and so to have a session led by him was quite a big deal! It was brilliant and he talked about some of the difficulties we might be facing right now and why that is. The session is going to be available to listen to again online which I will do, as it was so interesting and helpful, I want to take it all in again!
This is a photo of a box that my son made with my husband in the garden recently during lockdown and which has some lettuce that we planted from seed. They are coming along nicely. An extra of some of the other plants we have growing which were courtesy of Marks and Spencer.
I have started joining in a live meditation session with Sangha Live at 4pm and plan on doing the same today and then I will going on a bike ride with my daughter whilst my son has a training session on line with his swim club.
A quote for today:
“I am not a product of my circumstances. I am a product of my decisions.” Stephen R Covey.
