Magenta rose climbing over the garage. I took this picture to send to a friend. The roses are beautiful but prone to black spot so I have to spray them each fortnight. Difficult balance - the insects/environment verses beautiful flowers. This is an old variety that are particularly susceptible to black spot and if they are not sprayed look awful. Apologies to any environmentalists reading this.

Back to work today after working from home yesterday. I do work better in the office but it is so quiet and I’m missing everyone. The PM’s statement on Sunday gave a bit of hope of lockdown easing but it will be baby steps. OH ( who is furloughed) was delighted that golf courses are opening and has his first t- off for this afternoon, and another on Sunday. Did I mind that he was playing twice he asked me this morning? Eight weeks of him being at home........... what do you think?!
