Afternoon Bike ride

Went for another bike ride, through the zoo, where I saw the elephants through the fences and many people stopped there to watched them. The zoo is still closed and the animals must think that the humans have died out!
Then I took a different turn and cycled back home via the old canal tow path. Saw my friends daughter who was out for a walk and we had a chat from a distance. Her dad is still in Dubai with no known date of return; the rest of the family is here , so it’s hard for him to only see them via Skype.

Cycling through town for the first time in weeks and to my surprise saw lots of homeless people in the streets. The government tells us they have been put up in hotels during the lockdown but that does not seem to be the case.
