Mrs N Thompson

The clematis that is, of course. I would have to say that it doesn't look 100% like the picture on the label. No matter. Looking good. Cas (Shelly's mum) gave it to me on the occasion of Gran's Thanksgiving Service. 

Maurice prompted me to see who Mrs T was (of an era I feel) and this is what Google tells me: "Mrs N Thompson was raised in the mid 1950's by Walter Pennell, of Pennells Garden Centre, who were one of the leading names in Clematis breeding at the time. Mrs N. Thompson was named after the wife of Pennells nursery office manager".
