Moray Place and the cygnets
A very satisfying afternoon walk to Queens park to check on the progress of the nesting swans. I was rewarded by seeing all four of them in the water for the first time, me seeing them in the water I mean.
I also located Moray Place which is tucked away behind the railway line that runs along Darnley Road on the other side.
The architecture was impressive, numbers 1 to 10 designed by Alexander Greek Thomson, and this is what I blipped. I would have liked to have taken more photos but felt somewhat awkward blipping peoples houses.
On my way to Queens Park I noticed the Queens Café on Victoria Road (where that excellent small garage is that fixed the blue punto, much further down). The Queens Café, closed currently is certainly a place to return post lockdown for one of their tempting (website viewing) Italian gelatos.
I crossed over to Darnley Road via the Strathbungo Station footbridge, the station having been abandoned many years ago.
Home via Maxwell Park and more duck watching in gorgeous sunshine, although still a tad on the chilly side, especially out of the sun.
