Worried

We took Abe for his evening walk at the Wetlands. It became clear early on that he wasn’t feeling himself -- he was lethargic and very half-hearted. We checked him over, but couldn’t find anything amiss.

At home, he went straight to his bed, obviously feeling very sorry for himself.

About two hours later, he got up and vomited. It was his breakfast and his lunch. We observed him and then decided it was time to get him looked at.

He’s currently at the emergency vet having x-rays. They suspect a blockage somewhere. We’ll know more in an hour or so.

Worried but optimistic is how I’d define the feelings in our dogless house tonight.
