The old climbing rose

This climbing rose has never flowered as well in previous years, and seems to be relishing being left alone and having a sunny spring time when its flowers are most prevalent.

It goes to show that despite having had to abandon tending the garden with my hip and now shoulder problems, nature loves my lack of action.
