Peace in Europe Day

It was the 75th Anniversary of the end of WWII in europe, which to add to confusion meant the bank holiday was moved from Monday to Friday. Nobody knows quite what day it is at the best of times.

I made macaroons and a victoria sponge and we had lunch with it all on the grass. Lots of streets had socially distanced parties, but not here. I felt a bit sad about it all.
