hockneyesque?
in july this year, i am taking part in a photography exhibition.
the exhibition is called 'photocopy' and the plan is that each of us will show pictures that are inspired, or just plain ripped-off from a famous original.
i have always loved david hockney's collages and having seen aiden o'rourke's manchester mega-photo in manchester on wednesday, i've decided to show something along these lines.
i would love to make it a similar size but my exhibition space is limited to an area about 6 feet wide by nine feet high.
i have a couple of months to choose and photograph the subject matter, but expect to see this kind of thing cropping up in my blips between now and then
this one is only 9 pictures that i put together in photoshop. the one i exhibit will be many, many more pictures and will be printed individually and assembled onto a backing board.
this is the trimmed version so that i don't fall foul of blip's rules on borders. the original is here
also on flickr is this ancient oak made up of 33 separate pictures...
