He’s A Lert!

Woke at 3 am and read my book till 5.30. Asleep till 8. Oops. Got ourselves out for a walk via Alnwick road to the moor then I took Mr C via Gimmerknowes to the bird song quarry. He’s never been before. We did almost 5 miles and encountered this fellow. We all remained alert - that’s our government’s new slogan.

We had a lovely chat with Katy and Dyke in Minneapolis last night. We last saw them when we went there almost 7 years ago. I looked after their children one summer when I was a student. We’ve kept in touch. The older boy will be 60 this year and his baby sister is a granny.

We are having a busy social week, virtually, our 10th In distancing/isolation.
