Monster swell

Well we have had some huge swell this week. Last night the noise of crashing waves outside the window, combined with the howling wind, was pretty impressive. It was exciting to wake up to see that the swell in our ordinarily calm little bay outside our flat had grown even more. Here's a snap of it just before I legged it for the bus....

...and I'm happy to say that by the time the evening came around, the biblical rains had subsided and the sun was out.

Had my first surf lifesaving theory session tonight, but more on that later.
