The Nutcracker (Apparently)

Since they got Samsung tablets at Christmas, Elsie and Hannah have done little else but play on them. I was just getting to the point of introducing some serious rationing, but today they have spent the entire day constructing this stage, complete with dancers, scenery, and script, and performing for me and their dad. Thanks to Auntie Vaila!

Today was a public holiday in Shetland, thanks to yesterday's Up Helly Aa festivities - fine, if you didn't get to bed until 6am like my other lovely daughter, but a bit of a waste of a day otherwise. The kids were home from school, Emma and I were home from work, the weather was pants. I spent the day sewing again.
