It's not just about the beads!

I'm sure you girls know what I'm talking about here!
After our lockdown was enforced nine weeks ago, we were in home confinement. Even though I've been living alone all that time, I decided that I wouldn't slouch around in a sloppy track suit! It was bad enough having a bad haircut going every which way! So every morning when I got dressed, I put on a touch of make-up, even natural lipstick, some happy jewellery and a spray of cologne.

Nobody saw me, but it's how it makes me feel which is the most important thing. It made me feel normal, happy and helped keep my spirits up!

On Mother's Day, I didn't know that I was going to see my daughter and grandson. That was only arranged after lunch. But when I got dressed, I put on one of my favourite blouse that was freshly ironed, a necklace and earrings and did my face!

So it's not just about the beads, it's everything about them ... and all the other stuff. We owe it to ourselves, don't you think?
