Day 47 - Bubbles in the garden
For something different, I tried blowing bubbles onto flowers in my garden. One of my biggest hurdles - there really aren't very many flowers in the garden just now! Ah well......
As an experiment it wasn't all that successful but I know I learn most from failure so I'll chalk that one up to learning.
Whilst I was in the garden earlier in the day I spied Kev had returned but also........a tui! I ws thrilled to have them both munching together just a few feet apart. Very cool.
In COVID news, there were just 3 new cases today. I'm enjoying hearing the low numbers but I'm not enjoying the consistency with which they appear.
The big news today was the announcement from Jacinda that we will be moving to Level 2 when we wake up on Thursday morning. She had outlined what this would mean for us last week and there weren't really any surprises with today's announcement. Wednesday will be the last day of Bubble life.......unless - heaven forbid - we're forced back to Level 3 or 4 because of another outbreak. This move will be reviewed in 2 weeks time - the end of another infection cycle. I'm a little apprehensive; I've actually enjoyed the peacefulness, quiet, bird visitors, relaxed lifestyle and time freedom that lockdown has brought but I suspect I may be in a minority. Many, many others will be keen to get out and about, to socialise and to resume some sort of almost normality (though we are limited to maximum gatherings of 10). And therein lies the risk.........
