Le Crocq pier, St. Sampsons

Today I was at the harbour in St. Sampsons. On one of the piers there are some interesting anchors which I have blipped today. Two of them are 'Mushroom' anchors , another a 'Mitchell Screw' anchor and the more conventional looking one is an 'Admiralty Pattern' anchor.
The Mitchell Screw anchor was designed by Andrew Mitchell in 1833 and was used principally for anchoring piers and lighthouse structures.
