The mountains were calling!

And I went! My cousin and BFF Dee called in Sunday and asked if I wanted to go with her and her sister J to stay a couple of days in their nephew’s mountain house. He and his wife bought a house high on hill near Bryson City, North Carolina. They actually live in Chattanooga, Tennessee a couple hours away!

We arrived about 6:30 last night and got things set up, then made some supper. This morning we did some cleaning then went to find lunch before going to hike.

We spent the afternoon hiking at Joyce Kilmer Memorial Forest. Kilmer wrote the poem Trees. The forest was amazing! Some much needed girl time and forest therapy!

I tried to show some of the things we saw in the collage! Another adventure tomorrow!
