The Green Mile

Well after picking up and dropping off my mother today I walked part of the old South Queensferry branch which started at Ratho Station and cut off the main Edinburgh/Glasgow main line and headed through Newbridge,Kirkliston and onwards to Dalmeny Junction with sidings into The Royal Elizabeth Yard the line closed to passengers in 1930 and finally closed to freight in 1966 so this was me today walking a part of the line between Kirkliston and Dalmeny Junction so in this view looking South as I walk "The Green Mile" 1999 that you can see in this shot on a pleasant afternoon stroll
