Raring to go

Morning service as usual. Most of the afternoon spent writing a difficult letter. Evening games with the family.
Late afternoon I heard a commotion outside. Luggage was loaded on a lorry and was being taken to the plane, watched over by the angel. The little people were very excited.
"What's going on?" I asked.
"We're going on holiday", shouted Lily excitedly, as she sat on her dad's shoulders.
"But what about social distancing?" I asked.
"Can't you see, we are social distancing ... to our scale anyway." her Dad replied.
"Yes, but is it wise to go on a plane? Most air travel has been stopped, you might not be able to go anywhere."
"Not in our world!", they all replied. "If we can go through a wormhole, we can do anything!"
I gave up and asked, "So, where are you going?"
"We're going on a holiday", shouted Lily, getting even more excited.
"It's a surprise." said her Dad, giving me a quick wink. I decided to leave that line of questioning for later.
"Ok, so why are you taking the cross, the umbrellas, and all the rest of that luggage, isn't it a bit much?"
"It was all given to us as part of our virtual travel kit, so we have to take it with us" they replied.
"We're going on an adventure, just like Gulliver's Son", sang Lily, as she bounced up and down on her Dad's shoulders. She was referring to the book they had just finished reading.
I decided to leave it at that. Best just to wait and find out what happens later!
