In a land far far away...

at the bottom of the garden...Some fifteen years ago I rescued a tiny Christmas tree, it was purchased by a colleague from M&S in a pot and brought into the office in an attempt to induce festive cheer. It must have been a few inches high. I adopted it and planted it in the garden. It has since grown to enormous proportion. The branches blocked off two paths. Mrs FP emerged from the garage with the big loppers and a bow saw. Today was the day. She has reclaimed about 15 square metres of ground and I now have an almost unobstructed view of an example of British design's finest moment. Result.

I'll take all the branches* down the tip if they ever re-open.

Well, probably not for a while.

* The small number of twigs under the tree are not the loppings, they are in a pile as big as the landy at the end of the drive.
