Fern?

This mysterious plant grows in my garden. Does anybody know what this plant is? This looks very similar to Asian royal fern (Osumunda japonica), which we Japanese people eat in various ways in spring.

The extra shot is the Meadows, I passed on my way to an Oriental supermarket.
