Bake off

Today I’ve made carrot cake, cinnamon and raisin bread and an apple crumble. I think I need to find a recipe book other than Dan Lepard’s Short and Sweet to work through. I think I’ve got a Joe Wicks one round here somewhere.....

I also thought about making a top. Got the pattern out, read it, put it back. It’s going to need some building up to, the first step blithely instructed me to “gather”. Perhaps I need to step down from the “very easy” pattern range.

Oh and chicken with 40 cloves of garlic for dinner. I loved it, Jay was so so, Will was happy until he ate one of the roasted garlics. Daisy, obvs, wouldn’t go near it.

And in direct flouting of Boris guidance, I’m not going to work tomorrow!
