Parole
Chickens have been "locked up" in their run for a number of days. The run isn't exactly small, probably 30sqm covered & 100sqm open, but they are used to their daily walk around the fields. Not only did we lock them up because of the snow but mainly as a couple of hens had been "taken" by something. As it was +13°C and very windy thought the birds of prey maybe occupied elsewhere.
In the photo are just the bantam chickens, the larger ones had already dashed off to all corners of the property & in to the forest! The Chabos are more careful & stay together in one group, regardless of whether they are being herded by the dogs.
As cold & snow forescast again for Sunday, will try to let them out the next few days & hope for the best.
