Out for my first run for some time.

Diagnosed with whooping cough yesterday which explains the coughing, tiredness and the inability to breathe.

This has gone on for 5 weeks, I've had a covid test, a consultation with the doctor and finally, another consultation after dialing 111. Everybody I've spoken to has been patient, kind and reassuring but finally, whooping cough makes sense. The doctor says it's often goes undiagnosed before reminding me that it's also called the 100 day cough.

She told me that the worse that could happen is that I might faint but then my airways would relax! There was a moment where I thought I'd suffocate so I'm glad I called.

The coughing is reducing and the spasms that produce the breathlessness are also consequently reducing.

I googled whooping cough and running and it seems some gentle exercise is okay. I was desperate to get out and so glad I did but the consequence was feeling very tired.

I am being sensible, I promise.

This is Redland station. This is the safety line.
