On Heughscar

A stunning day.
I washed the van, generally faffed in the garden and then just sat on the grass for a late picnic lunch listening to a rebel wisdom podcast before cycling up on to Heughscar. With only skylarks for company for many miles around I took my trainers and socks off and skipped up and down on the wonderfully dry green path with good views in every direction to the Howgills, across the Eden valley to the Pennines, over the border to Scotland and, of course, down to Ullswater below and the Lakeland fells.
