Liberation Day!

Today is the 75th Anniversary of Liberation from German rule in the Bailiwick of Guernsey. Due to lock down the wonderful parade and lots of other events have been cancelled possibly till next year! We have an amazing amount of flags and bunting in the island. This is our road and the one bordering it. There is a party organiser in the road joining ours and they put up the balloon arch along with beautiful balloons on every gatepost along the road! We had lunch with our friends who we are sharing a ‘bubble’ with as this is now allowed .... we can mix with another household so we are with friends and our son is with their friends for the sake of the children having others to play with. Mums had a tough day so doesn’t help her or me. If only I could go and help her and hug her!!
