Saturday: Hunting The Cuckoo

A couple of days ago, when I went down the road to check up on local new potatoes, I got talking to neighbours who had heard the cuckoo a few days previous.
After discussing it with MrD we decided on a quick adventure - I drove my car down to the far side of the beach, I haven’t driven since mid-March and the car needed a bit of a run too.
Tide was on the way in, high tides this week, we did the reverse of the walk we did https://www.blipfoto.com/entry/2685619424236408071 2 months ago, didn’t hear the cuckoo but saw lots of wild flowers and had a very relaxing walk. It was so nice to see so much red clover on the farm road.
Bit of pottering in the garden: potted on Italian red Chicory, wild chicory and moved pots of plants around.
The bees from yesterday seem to have settled down and were going about their business without problems today.
As the sun is setting there’s a thrush singing it’s heart out ...
