Welcome new resident

After flooding events at the allotments one is always faced with a queue of new species wanting to take up residence. Their seed is deposited with the silt as the floods receded and usually, since most are regarded as weeds, residence is denied. Once in a while a welcome mat is extended and that is the case for this little beauty that has appeared in the allotment border. Not sure what he is (possibly related to wood anemone?) but let’s hope he likes it here and decides to multiply!
