Starling

These birds tend to turn up in my garden when they have chicks to feed. There is always a fight as the blackbird defends his territory. He can usually hold his own but sometimes there is a whole gang of starlings and he has to retreat and watch them eating what he considers to be his food. I must admit I am very fond of the blackbird and I don't like the starlings particularly. They have a very aggressive nature and they are also very persistent so they usually prevail. However I welcome any bird into the garden.
I have realised that this picture is terrible quality so I'll change it if I can later.
