Piñata Detail
Our piñata from the holidays has been hanging in the palapa ever since our kids returned to the United States, adding a festive splash to an otherwise ordinary space. As of today, however, it has been relegated to a dark corner, most likely its final resting place before being tossed out in the trash. I suspect this is because it has faded over the month and a half of hanging in the sun and is no longer considered pretty enough for display. When I look at the photos shot today and compare them with those taken when we first purchased it, the difference is remarkable. That said, even a faded piñata contains a fair amount of color and can produce a decent photograph when viewed close-up.
P.S. - I see by my statistics that I have posted an entire year's worth of photos without missing a day (this is number 366 in a row - last year was a leap year). It is not much compared to other blippers who have posted every day for years, but has been a personal goal of mine since beginning back in 2010.
