Sally Mair - Loving life

Sycamore

Friday again today and VE Day. I heard the flypast of two RAF Typhoons this morning at 10.10 but didn't see it. Not a lot happening around this part of town although a friend did put together a display for his window.
Another warm day today, so lots of lawn watering too on our new patch of turf.

I made a pot of soup and spent a fair bit of time on the phone catching up with people. K popped in too. She'd managed to find me some baking powder, I was almost out. I'm glad she's finished her night duty, it made life even more complicated for them and disturbs the girls when they think that they don't see enough of her.

We had a good walk through Ravelston Woods again, I spotted this amazing sycamore tree root system. What was really surprising is that there seems to be new growth coming from the root at the front.

We treated ourselves to a biryani from the take away in the row of shops next to us. Delicious especially with a tasty peshwari naan!

Keep safe everybody and thank you for dropping by. We're staying safely at home and appreciate having all of our shopping done for us too.
