Swan on a Peaceful Day
While we were all celebrating the anniversary of celebrating the end of WWII this swan was quietly getting on with another day. Our walk along part of the Harborough Arm of the Grand Union was indeed extremely peaceful. We only met a handful of fellow walkers. The water was very clear in many places, not having been overly disturbed by narrowboat propellors now for over 6 weeks - we were able to see small fish quite clearly and we spotted a jack pike too.
We chatted with one or two folk who were sitting in their gardens or drives, some with friends parked on camping chairs at the statutory distance, all with a glass of something to hand. I liked the old Wolseley someone had decorated and parked for all to see and so included it as an extra.
