for flowerfriday

being on it’s last leg - so speak, i did just a tad - of faffing with the peony - to spruce it up - for flowerfriday all the while - lost in memories of my childhood - when mama used to hang - laundry out in the backyard - when in the springtime - a long row of peony bushes - would burst into bloom - with the most wonderful fragrance ever

it wafted throughout - the entire yard and - clung to clothes hanging - on the line - it was simply heavenly - and ever since - peonies have been a favorite flower - of mine in the spring - they don’t last nearly long enough - for me though but - while they’re around - oh, it’s surely...
